Creating Carved Leather Keychain

Each Leather Key Tag begins with the photo you provide. Our artists carefully study your pet’s features, markings, and expression before translating them into a simplified design that works beautifully on leather.

The keychain is then created through a multi-step handcrafted process. Our artisans sketch the outline onto the leather, press dimensional textures, apply color by hand, stitch the edges, polish the surface with wax, and finish the piece with metal hardware. Each step is completed with care to ensure the portrait remains clear while preserving the natural beauty of the leather.

Creation timeline: Each leather tag requires 20 to 30 business days to complete, making it one of the most time-intensive creations at PetLouvre.
